God's Graces

I am so grateful with the Lord’s presence in my life which filled me with the warm blanket of His love. Especially for the past week, God’s presence is so visible and heartfelt.

Jan 21, Tuesday – Tatay is safe.

Tatay's car after the accident.
The thing that I am most thankful for to God is my Father’s safety after the car accident in Saudi. Being away from him is hard enough, and knowing that I can’t be beside him in times like this is even harder not just for me, but for our whole family. To nurse him, and be with him as he get well from the wounds and trauma that the accident had caused him is just what I really want right now.  But I trust in the Lord’s mercy and I know that He’s guiding love won’t make my Tatay go through anymore hardship.

Jan 22, Wednesday – Graduation Feels and WICKED.

Wicked Dress Rehearsal ticket from TicketWorld Inc.

Me graduating started to finally sink in after this seminar. A few more months and I will be released in the wild real life. Feelings of fear and excitement are what I have for my future career. Will I do well in Marketing, my first love?

TicketWorld Student Ambassadors.

A Broadway musical added new FEELS in my day. Thanks to TicketWorld, I was one of the first to see Wicked in Manila.  I and some of my fellow Student Ambassadors were given the chance to see the technical dress rehearsal of Wicked, and I was super super lucky to get a seat in the orchestra center. I was in total amazement of the whole production. I would have easily mistaken it for the real performance and not just the run-through. The stage setup, the music, the whole ensemble, everything was fabulous and amazing! Hello? This is Wicked! The Broadway’s biggest blockbuster!! I just had so many feels even after days of watching it. The friendship, the love, the whole message of Wicked just pierced through me and I think it would take long before I can recover from being Greenified. I love Suzie Mathers! I love her! She’s so amazing on stage and I love her Galinda, her Glinda. I fancy Suzie so much that I did some research and read every interview and articles about her. I hope I can meet her again during her stay here in Manila. I love Suzie!! Suzie <3

Jan 23, Thursday – Marketing Quiz Bee, CHAMPION.

Marketista’s Challenge: Brain Brawl. Tatay, this is for you!! I joined this quiz bee without preparation. I didn’t even get to study so much and just scanned through some lectures from last semester’s Marketing Management and this term’s E-Marketing. Good thing I learned so much and listened well in Ms. Anne’s discussion. She’s really good in educating and I think she made a right decision to follow the academe’s calling. I guess God sent me the Holy Spirit and is just with me because I was calm and clear minded the whole contest. I was even more blessed to be grouped with very remarkable young marketers of AdU. Thank you to the Panelists who recognized my effort in the case study and given me an individual excellence award. Really, Champion? I did not really expect that. Thank you AdJMA for the Medal and limited edition of AdJMA tumbler, to Mr. Julius with his sincerity through minions, and the 3 thousand pesos <3

Jan 24, Friday – E-Marketing Best Website Content.

My Wix Website Homepage.

Me being awesome this week is not yet over. LOL. Ms. Anne’s little way of recognizing the students' talents is just so sincere and loving. Congratulations to everyone who won and received the 500-peso worth of ChocoBest <3 By the way, if you haven’t seen my website yet, go now and visit the fruit of my Wix effort. (http://delavegajasmin.wix.com/justmeanstar) I will continue updating my Wix website so check it out from time to time and see my current adventure in this life.

Jan 25, Saturday – A day with my High School Treasures.

Gold-Diamond, May 2012

I know this is just about to happen (in 3 hours after posting this), but I know this will be epic as it has always been every time we’re all together. I am thankful to God for letting me meet such good friends like my Treasures. Thank you to Quinto family for hosting this event and letting us stay in their humble home. See you later my Treasures!!

THE PRODUCERS by Repertory Philippines

KEEP IT FUNNY! KEEPT IT SUNNY! KEEP IT GAY!

One Friday night, I died in laughter. After successfully passing the 'zombie apocalypse' in LRT 1 and MRT just to catch the opening night of THE PRODUCERS by Repertory Philippines, little did I know that it would suck all the stamina left in me after the show. People inside the theater couldn't stop laughing from the hilarious banters on stage.

How often would you see a dancing and singing Adolf Hitler? With ladies on stage walking with giant sausages and pretzels on their heads? Springtime for Hitler was supposed to be a total flop! But hey, people liked it, and even loved it! So where did they go right?

You need to watch the show for you to know! My girlfriends and I really enjoyed this musical. We went straight to Greenbelt 1 Onstage after our 6pm class and ran off with the zombie crowd at the train station to make it on time for the 8pm show. But it was all worth it! We ended our stressful week with laughters.

CINEMAJAM

You love watching movies, I know. And listening to music is definitely one of your hobbies too. Hey, who doesn’t love movies/music anyway? It saved someone’s life at some point in time. But aren’t you tired of staying at home the whole day stuck with your laptop in a dark room which isolates you from everyone? Plus it hurts your eyes as you crawl out of your ‘safe haven’ to the other parts of the house which brims with full sunshine. (Ouchy eye!)

Worry no more! For Crizal Transitions is here! The world’s leading Photochromic lens capable of adjusting to any lighting condition. They will be hosting the first ever outdoor movie marathon and music festival in the Philippines, CINEMAJAM! A vision screening in the Optical Village section will also be there to check your eyesight. This one is for free, so be sure to have yours checked. Games and raffle prizes await lucky people. That could be you! And what I am personally excited with are the activities like karting, bungee jumping, skating and kite-flying! Yey! I would definitely try bungee jumping this time, for real.
